A story about the McBride Viaduct controversy ran on the front page of The New York Times on March 12th, 2018, "In Erie, One City Block is a Trek of Disrespect." (Essay by Michael Kimmelman. Photos by Damon Winters) The Erie Times-News dismissed Kimmelman in an opinion piece, "New York Times Takes McBride Fallacies National." Eight months later, Landscape Architecture Magazine‘s Timothy A. Schuler, covered the issue and featured concept plans for McBride Viaduct Park by Erie native Michael Beightol, now a Cleveland landscape architect.
